Aegis - GM310

Please check your speaker settings by following the steps below:

(1) Right-click on the speaker icon in your system tray, and select “Playback devices”:
(You can also access the speaker settings from the Start menu: Start → Control Panel → Hardware and Sound →Sound → Playback)

(2) Right-click on the icon corresponding to your speaker, and set it as the default device

1. Ensure GM310 (AVerMedia Aegis Microphone) is enabled with visible audio signal response, shown as below:


2. If GM310 is already enabled, please restart the service and reboot the computer:

For Windows 7: Right-click on My Computer -> Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services -> Restart AVerGM310 service.

For Windows 10: Right-click on This PC -> Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services -> Restart AVerGM310 service.


3. Rep nstall the software:

3-1. Click on the bottom left Start -> Settings -> Apps -> Remove items with names begin with AVer (i.e. AVerMedia Aegis Voice Engine Installer).

3-2. Download the new software from the link below:

We recommend the following ways to solve this issue:
(I). Place Aegis closer to you
(II). Twist the Volume Control Knob clockwise to raise your volume
(III). Try to speak louder
(IV). Make sure Aegis is directed toward you, with nothing in-between, as Aegis is a directional microphone.
GM310(Aegis) Utility & Firmware update SOP:

1. Double click the icon to launch Voice Engine

2. Wait for your system to detect Aegis and its status

3. Click the ”i” icon GM310 FAQ


4. Click “Check for Updates”

5. Wait for update checking

6. If a newer version is found, click “Update” to begin

7. Wait for update to complete

8. Click “OK” when the update process is complete
When you plug GM310 to your computer Windows will set it as Default playback and default recording device. GM310 will be set as Speaker and the sound of your PC will be muted. Skype will automatically add newly connected audio device (GM310) as microphone and speaker at the same time regardless of default device.
This will mute the originally used speaker or headphone.

1. Please right click on the speaker icon on your system tray and select “Playback” devices. GM310 FAQ

2. Right click on the icon of your Speaker and set it as Default playback device.

3. Enter your Skype “Audio settings”

4. Make sure to select your Speaker corresponding your system’s Default playback device.
